Buffy Summers was used to weird and strange things. In fact, it was odd if a day went by without her being caught in some sort of movie-like moment. And today’s weirdness…. Was the way her Slayer Sense was tingling because of a little girl. Buffy didn’t have a strong reading on why this was…
It was a bit strange, really. Molly had felt eyes on her for a little while now, though she hadn’t bothered to do anything about it. She didn’t particularly care. But after turning around and coming face to face with a young woman who looked slightly puzzled, Molly was a bit stumped. Usually the people staring at her ended up being the big bad guys who came to take down the Runaways. This woman… Yeah, she didn’t seem like that.
Molly blinked and realised the woman was talking. Wait… She said her name was Buffy? What kind of parents called their kid that? It took quite a bit of energy for the girl to not start laughing at that. Really. It was quite freakin’ hilarious. But as the woman was being quite polite, she thought it’d be best to be semi-polite as well. Smiling brightly, Molly replied, “Hi! I’m Molly Hayes!” There.
“Ah, that’s a nice name,” Buffy smiled and nodded. She had noticed a flash of amusement spark through the kids eyes. It took a second for her to realise that the only thing funny around was her and her name. Hey, she had no problems with the name Buffy. Though she’d admit it was unusual.
“It’s nice to meet you Molly,” she said, keep her tone light and casual. Buffy’s senses were still going a bit crazy. Hopefully the longer she talked to this girl the more she could find out. “How are you?”
